This paper focuses on the analysis of the reasons why they adopt different ways, and further comparison and demonstration are made.

The conflict what Churchill advocated is the war through the local proxy military war, science and technology test, and the arms race, diplomacy competition. It is a cold mode but the hot, namely mutual containment, but not to resort to the force. Due to the profound lessons of the World War Two, where Tens of thousands of people lost their life and social wealth were burned, the Soviet Union and USA both know the direct war between their two groups is very stupid and is unrealistic. It has also associated with the postwar world Politian situation also. If one super group wanted to open a war throughout the world, it is a global destructive war and even a nuclear war. At the same time, the leader in USA were also deeply aware that, if the war opened, their leadership position obtained in the World War Two would likely be shaken, and, global economy including the USA economy will be greatly affected. In a conclusion, the cold war policy started by USA is just intended to suppress the communism, but not to wear down or eliminate it. The USA wanted to keep and extend its economic interests while the Soviet Union worry about and guarantee its security interests. USA wanted to implement the capitalism all over the world, including USA values and way of life; however, the Soviet Union sought to carry out socialist in the world, including the implementation of the proletarian revolution and the national liberation movement. But, both the United States and the Soviet Union considered avoiding direct warring parties because they just experience the terrible World War Two. In addition, Churchill also pointed out, the so-called fifth column of the Soviet Union existed in many countries, which provide a growing challenge and peril to Christian civilization (Churchill), so he summoned the British and American  to unite together, in order to establish a special relationship and promote the Western democracies more united(. The unified requirements of religious beliefs and thinking pattern also decided it is an indirect confrontation politics advocated by Churchill, including a kind of culture and economy, rather than direct military confrontation.

In contrast, facing a series of political, economic issues in Germany, Hitler took the direct military means.
