In recent years, there is an increasing interest in leadership dramatically. As for organization in social work, Ormrod regard organizational culture as a scene which is equally blur within its definition, leadership can be seen as the same way that the culture is seen as a surplus character in social work. The ideas that managers act a leader or the close connection between the function of leadership and high levels, the higher hierarchy means the greater function, most of authors seem to agree with this idea even if the definition of leadership has been defined variously, which may have the same content with the definition of management in certain aspects and it also has something different. Over the twentieth century, most of the literature on leadership is US- based; besides, most of the standpoint comes from a standpoint of a military, a white man or a male. Besides, most of the researches emphasize on “distant” leaders, for example, a figurehead leader with whom has little or no communication with, rather than on a nearby leader with who may has communication on a regular or daily basis. The growing attention paid to leadership has to be considered in view of how this topic develops and of the dominant approach with a potential limitation. Gellis emphasizes on the ignorance of leadership in social work though the growing interest in leadership in concerning areas because she thinks those studies has limitations of methodology. In the eyes of public, social work has not any certain status; society regards the profession of social work with an environment of ambivalence and politics with hostility to the profession . Therefore, the approach shows leadership in winning the profession position to the outside world rather than putting emphasize on staffs in individual organizations. To put the profession in a more productive situation is the goal of leadership here.

The term resource mobilization does not only refer to money, it also include support from volunteers, especially in social organization. Some material donations can be also received for social work and some in-kind donation can be got from internal social work organization. Therefore, the resource mobilization is a central concern in social work organization; social staffs, money and some related equipment are all important resources. And it is widely acknowledged that types and levels of available resources are all important factors in social work organization. Various support can classified as follows: firstly, the most conventional way of getting support is to submit proposal to a general donor agency. Secondly, organize some events where you invite clients and requested donations for social work organization to raise fund. Thirdly, put donation boxes in public places to raise small amounts of requested money. Fourthly, collect some in-kind contribution as clothes, books, transportations, shoes which are used or even old buildings. Fifthly, raise income from business-based projects of social work organization such as selling publications, providing consultancy or micro-enterprise- oriented activities.
