本文主要介绍了由于中日之间钓鱼岛领土问题的争端 愤怒的中国人抵制日货的问题
In 2010, the Japanese government denied the existence of territorial dispute of Diaoyu Island (known to Japan as Senkaku Islands) between Japan and China, insisting that the islands are Japanese territory and should be placed under the administration of Japan. The claim outraged Chinese citizens, and a new wave of boycotting Japanese products started in China. The angry Chinese citizens refused to buy Japanese goods, especially automobiles, since they are popular in China. Toyota, as the biggest foreign car manufacturer in China, suffered most during this wave of boycott. It experienced not only a fall of sales, but also sabotage of sold cars and the destruction of its specialty stores. As a matter of fact, Toyota suffered every time when there was a wave of anti-Japanese demonstration in China. In 2004, the former Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi visited Yasukuni Jinjia in Tokyo to mourn the war criminals during WWII, triggering strong reactions among Chinese citizens and the Chinese government. Toyota, along with other Japanese brands such as Honda, Sony and Mitsubishi, were all on the list of boycotted Japanese products. As a student, I personally boycotted the uni-ball pen made by Mitsubishi, the Japanese corporation and turned to Chinese products such as M&G and TrueColor, etc. The boycotts of Japanese products in China are almost all about the long going political dispute between the two countries, including territorial and historical disputes, as well as other forms of conflicts of political interests.
