When waking up early in the morning, I glimpsed the warm sunshine enveloping the whole room. It was a typical summer morning in Greece, where the Mediterranean Climate brought sufficient sunshine and a wild flavor of hyacinthus. I spent my holiday here, fully experiencing a totally new life and culture. Actually, traveling was always my cup of tea. Unlike my peers who were indulged themselves in cartoons and computer games, I tended to have the trips in various countries and regions in my holidays, gaining a multitude of valuable perspectives and broadening the horizons simultaneously. During the journey, I obtained a unique insight into culture and history in different areas, imperceptibly getting more internationally-minded as well, which, from my point of view, benefits me a lot, physically and mentally, and well prepares me for the study abroad. It is beyond doubt that I will quickly adapt to a strange community, making friends with those from different races, on one hand. And I will share abundant experiences with my friends, promoting the cultural diversity in the community at the same time, on the other.

What is more, nurtured in a traditional Chinese family, I have gradually developed a considerate and rigorous attitude towards what I deal with in both my daily life and study. In my mind, my parents tend to plan everything in order and their personal characteristics of carefulness and kindness have permeated the daily life, which, in turn, exerts a positive influence on me in terms of my habits and life attitudes, for I am able to maintain an optimistic mind no matter what obstacles I encounter. During my life in America college, I maintained a good performance on my study, achieving excellent scores and AA Degree Diploma simultaneously. Moreover, during my academic years in community college in America, participating in various activities and associations, I have gradually strengthened my capacity of planning and communication, simultaneously developing an independent way of thinking.

In addition, my initial interest in food actually stemmed from various delicious cuisines prepared by my mother. She is an industrious woman, who prefers cooking different meals, such as Beijing Roast Duck and Spicy Diced Chicken. As early as I was 8 years old, I started to learn cooking, preparing meals and making deserts with my mother’s help. Funny enough, I was often considering what kind of meals I would cook. Attaching great importance to healthy lifestyle, we tend to be very strict with food materials. Additionally, a movie called Food Inc. did send me thinking over the quality and safety of foods. Then, I was vaguely getting aware of several serious problems in the food industry. This movie, on the other hand, got me to know the importance of food safety in our country, promoting me to conduct a further research on food.
