How to Establish a Peaceful Society in the US

在美国，为了走向更加和平和非暴力的社会，我们应该从最内层的社会文化中挖掘这些问题产生的原因以及我们该如何解决它们。文章将从劳动和管理，枪支控制和种族歧视三个问题展开，这些激进的问题,长期以来一直存在于美国社会，在不久的将来我们必须解决这些问题。如果没有成功地解决这些问题,许多深层次问题将会一个接一个的出现。

To move toward being more peaceful and non violent society in the United States of America, we should dig out these issues from the innermost sourcing that what type of social changes we have to make and how to resolve it radically. Now there are three social changes facing the American society, i.e. relationships between labor and management, guns control and racial discrimination. 
  Firstly, the relationships between labor and management have been a hot and sensitive topic. In the United States of America, there have always been conflicts between employers and employees with high level of labor force marketization and strong individualism. Facing with powerful employers who possess the means of production, an individual employee has an extremely low power. Any resistance or dissatisfaction in the contest between labor and management seems like a mantis that tries to stop a chariot. Confronting with such a wide gap of powers, the US labor unions have found out a rational existence and progressively developed into a powerful weapon that employees can unite together to fight against employers’ authority, voice their own opinions, maintain legal rights and change unfair situations. 
  Even though the US labor union has played its important role in it, it seems that the relationships between labor and management still cannot be resolved due to increasingly low density of union members. Also due to strong individual thoughts that excludes collective acts and poor confidence employees poses to unions for failing operation, the union density in the US is relatively much lower than other developed countries. Meanwhile, what is worthy of noting is that such low density also demonstrate a constantly downward trend. Even though the American unions’ members are increasing gradually, the member rates are decreasing year by year as member’s increase does not catch up with that of working population. 
  Secondly, gun controls in the US are not only an issue of standardizing guns purchasing, they are also complicated social and psychological matters which require for all-round restrictions and management. In 2012, the US president Obama again launched a campaign against purchase of massive and destructive weapons as shooting massacre happened in the primary school in Connecticut. The spokesman in the white house also remarked that Obama would support democratic proposal of restarting a ban on assaultive guns selling. He indicated that Obama will intensify background investigations for the people who want to buy weapons, which will be made as an act part to comprehensively resolve guns violence. Gun control requires multiple resolutions. This does not only require fresh survey and more effective implementation of guns acts, it should also work together with mental health expert, law enforcement officer, teaching staff, parents and community workers to find out comprehensive measures for these problems. 
  Third, racial discrimination issue is another topic that we’ve been discussing it for many years. The inequality issues have been manifested in many aspects such as unequal pay at workplace and different social classes. Superficially, all these issues are some parts of social issues only. But if we take a further look into it, these issues would cause huge social problems or strike violence to the whole American society. Looting and robbing on the streets will become more. 
  In conclusion, all these above radical issues that have long been existing in the US society have to be addressed in the near future when we are on the way to a more peaceful society. Without successfully resolve them, lots of deeper problems will spring up one after another.
