There are millions of parts to my personality, and it is hard to narrow such a complex structure down to an animated character. I would like to think of myself as unique and individual, and I am. However certain aspects remind others as well as myself of the Disney animated character Ariel, from The Little Mermaid. Looking past Ariel’s big blue eyes and wide smile, you will see a very strong willed individual who strives to become what she wants to be. Being the “princess of the sea” is not as easy as it sounds especially when fins restrict you. Looking past my own blue eyes you will see the same thing, however I am not restricted by fins and I am not the princess of the sea, I do however have restrictions put on me. I am not able to do and go places I would like to go because of those restrictions, mostly upheld by parental figures. Ariel is a daydreamer she spends much of her longing of places she wants to go, people she wants to meet, and dreams she wants to fulfill. I too am a daydreamer, much like Ariel I long for new places, people, and situations to immerse myself in. Ariel is also a hopeless romantic, she wants to meet her “prince charming” fall in love and live happily ever after and she will go to any measure to achieve this goal. Love is a feeling I am very fond of, I am always thinking of crushes and romance, of what “happily ever after” will feel like and when I will meet my true soul mate. Ariel is a risk taker, she had the guts to go to Ursula and ask for legs so she could be apart of the human world. I consider myself a risk taker, I haven’t done anything quite as big as Ariel did however I do take risks daily. Ariel is a good friend and she is open-minded, these are also positive traits I too share with Ariel. Along with the positive traits I share with Ariel I also share some negative traits that Ariel upholds. Being stubborn is one of Ariel’s negative traits she will not give up her dreams and she will not admit she is wrong, this is one of my negative traits. I am also very proud, which can be a good thing however it also can be negative. Ariel too is sometimes vain. I feel out of all of the animated characters in the world I am closely related with Ariel, not just mentally but in some ways physically also. She has big blue eyes, a wide smile, and pale lips and so do I. We are very similar in characterization and personality traits. -X
