Introduction:Introduction:
The English education in China has experienced a development process for the past few decades becoming more and more prevalent. From 1862 when the School of Combined Learning was set up to the present, due to the alteration of the China’s economy and politics, the road of the development of English education has been extremely long and tortuous. As a matter of fact, the establishment of the School of Combined Learning, a school specializing in translating English in to Chinese, opened the door of English education in China captivating thousands of hundreds of dwellers to study and learn, a considerable number of whom event regard English as a mean to make a living to a tremendous extent. In addition, English enables a large amount of residents in China to see the other side of the world in a better and clearer way as we.
Literature View:
In order to have a better understanding about the development of English education in China, scholars have done a considerable number of researches that tie into the overarching topic of it. Primarily, the researchers, Song and Cheng, have done a survey in regards to immersion teachers’ professional development. Currently, teachers are using a variety of methods to educate their students in order to make it easier for them to study English. According to Song and Cheng, there are a wide range of ways to sustain English, among all of which, preparing and teaching lessons occupy the highest proportion followed by reading with 76.6% and 66% respectively (Song & Cheng, 2015). English is a language, to wit, it needs to be reviewed from time to time so that English words will not be forgotten as time elapses. In addition, they also point out that the English education in China encounters several problems, first of which is that instructors who teach English in China are not really proficient in English, and second of which is that students fail to balance between English and other subjects (Song & Cheng, 2015). As a matter of fact, teachers play an essentially significant role in the process of English education, yet, when teachers themselves can not master English excellently, it is impossible for them to educate others and what they do is likely to mislead their students who always reckon that everything that their teachers say is correct. Furthermore, students do not only learn English in China, most of whom are learning a variety of subjects like Chinese, math, physics, chemistry, biology and etc. If they pay extremely high attention on English, they may fail to learn other subjects.

He has testified Chinese policies in terms of the sell of English clauses in preliminary education and figured out that the stress of the political, together with the ideological features of foreign language education, had been changed to concentrate on its role in promoting, accelerating and easing China’s economic development as well as China’s modernization to a tremendous extent (Hu, 2005).
