Drone technology has many advantages compared with ordinary aircraft. Firstly, because there is no driver on the drone, it can save control and safety rescue equipment in the cockpit and the relevant cycle, thereby reducing the weight and cost of the drone.

Secondly, the drone will not endanger the pilots in the war; it is more suitable for the implementation of the task with high risk. Thirdly, because there is no driver in the drone, the aircraft can adapt to more intense maneuver operation and more dangerous flight environment, it will not limited by innate physiological features of pilot. Moving to the last point, the UAV is relatively simple in the maintenance, and the maintenance cost is low, the operator only needs to be trained on the ground without aloft operation.

However, there are some disadvantages of drone technology .the drone is vulnerable to GPS interference and influence from human, and the action of the drone is still lagging behind the ordinary aircraft (Wall and  Torin, 2011).

Although the radio communication can spread rapidly, the reaction time is also very important in the process of air combat. In addition, the drones is more dependent on communication resources than ordinary aircraft, in particular the drones performs intelligence task, surveillance and reconnaissance missions with multiple sensors technology.

Many scholars in the field believe that this is a major weakness of drones, especially drones operated in the high threat environment. Meanwhile, there is a single point failure about drone technology. once the enemy destroyed the command center, then all the drones will lose their effectiveness in the air operation.
