The "Pygmalion effect" was created in 1968 by researchers Robert Rosenthal and Lenore Jacobsen. Their work shows that people who receive positive feedback perform well. The "Pygmalion effect" is the result of a test by American psychologist Rosenthal. He randomly selected 18 college students as a sample, wrote their names in a form, and gave them to the principal, and told the principal seriously that these 18 students were all intellectual talents. When Rosen returned to school half a year later, he found that the performance of 18 students was indeed better than average.
