This part will mainly focus on the interpretation of the process and skills of translation and the analysis of the characteristics of both genres. Detailed speaking, the process of translation involved is actually to expand the post on Facebook so as to make it a sentence that has supportive examples. Or maybe it can be put in another way that the post on Facebook can be seen as the main idea of my personal story and my personal story is right based on the post on Facebook. In the meantime, the online post’s being short can allow more people to remember it so that they can further deliver it to others after their remembering it. But on the other hand, the discourse communities of my personal story may be somewhat limited and only those that have contacted with me can have a look at it after getting my verification. If I would like to make my personal story have a wider audience range, then I can also put my personal story online. However, many people may give up halfway because some people may just be too impatient that they are unwilling to spend so much time on reading my personal story, which may influence the final discourse communities of my own in the end.

At the same time, the characteristics of both two genres will be elaborated on. The most obvious feature is that the online post usually uses many web languages and all of these web languages may be very familiar to the wide public. In so doing, the online posts are able to leave a deep impression on the audience. For instance, the sentence that “People don’t care for you when you are alone. They just care for you when they are alone” on the post tends to be catchy and it can be remembers within a short time period. But as for the personal story, it tends to use the words that people use in their daily life. Generally speaking, the sentences used in the personal story will be somewhat informal and exoteric when compared with the online posts. For example, the use of simple words and easy sentence structure is the typical characteristic of the personal story. According to this, it is not hard to find that the online post may be more formal than personal story in one way or another. Nevertheless, the meaning of transforming the online formal post to an informal personal story lies in that a personal story can help quickly close the gap between the author and the audience.

There is no doubt that the personal story is easy for people to read when compared with the online posts. In this sense, a fair knowledge can be obtained that the rationale why I would like to transform the online post to a personal story lies in that it can help better convey the idea of the picture to the audience. Besides, a personal story can help one produce the idea to tell one’s own story in order that they can better remember the online post because the telling of personal story can help strengthen people’s memory to a certain degree.

In the meantime, the difference in the person use can be regarded as a major difference between the online post and the personal story. The more concrete condition is that the online post tend to use the third person to represent a large number of the audience. Just take this online post on Facebook as an example, it uses “people” to refer to all the humans and not a specific person is mentioned. In doing so, the audience can directly put themselves into the case and suppose that they are right the one the post is referring to. However, the personal story tends to be narrated in the first person because it is about a certain person or several people. It can be understood in this way that the personal story is told by a person so that it is only about a certain person or several people. As for my personal story, obviously it is told by me and there is nothing to do with other people at all. Concerning the transformation meaning in this regard, what has to be pointed out is that this transformation can help the audience better understand the online post by offering a detailed example.

Last but not the least, the appropriateness of this translation and transformation will be analyzed. Just take the level of analysis as an example, its level of analysis is sentence and it focuses on the total expressive and intended effect and its function as a communicative act.
