Dream of Red Mansion

This week, I read eight chapters of “Dream of Red Mansion” from 65 to 72, which made me very excited, because I am extremely interested in researching the details of this article. 

In the chapter 66, Xing Er told his second sister You that Bao Yu was not as good as they thought. The third sister You, on the other hand, thought highly of Bao yu. The third sister You told the second sister You that Jia Lian with whom she wanted to marry was named Liu Xiang Lian. Jia Lian who was on a business trip met Xue Pan and afterwards, they had become intimate friends. Liu Xiang Lian sent the Yuanyang sword as a gift to the third sister You. The third sister You killed herself. Xiang Lian felt overwhelmingly sorry and sad about it. From this chapter, I began to understand that people considered that a man were legal and legitimate to have two or even more wives in their lives in ancient countries. Nevertheless, on the contrary, they deened that women was only permitted and allowed to serve and marry one husband. In addition, women were supposed to be chaste and undefiled all their lives. I think it’s definitely unreasonable. Man and their female counterparts should share the same rights and be treated as equal. The idea that people ought to women in a different way must be eliminated.

In the chapter 69, Feng incited Zhang Hua to sue his original wife. Zhang got a large sum of money and his wife Feng told Jia Mu that Jia Lian had come back after business. Jia rewarded some money to the servant, Qiu Tong regarding him as his concubine. QiuTong was very rude and vulgar, the second sister You got mad and sick as time elapsed. Hu Jun Rong took some medicines in order to induce abortion. Feng abetted QiuTong to make the second sister angry. Hence, the second sister swallowed the gold and died eventually. In this chapter I feel the complicated about the family in the ancient world.They were very rude and rigorous. Killing someone with a certain intrigued tactic was prevalent in the ancient time, however, what I do not believe is that people should sit down and talk calmly and sensibly to settle down multifarious disputes that they are confronting.  

In the chapter 71,You felt hungry and came to Feng’s room. However, Feng was not in the room. Zhou Rui failed to get along excellently with his friends, therefore, he told Feng to arrest two women. Ms. Xing felt obliged to intercede the two women in public. You said that Feng was officious.Miss Wang rescued the two women in the end, which made Feng feel sad and cry. Yuangyang found that Si Qi was having a date with her uncle. Si Qi asked Yuanyang to forgive everything that she had done. Thus, YuanYang pledged that she would not let anyone know.

In conclusion, taking every detail in all the chapters into account, we can see that the writing technique called Grass Snake and Ash Thread, one of which is called homophonic method, was utilized fabulous making all the stories even more vivid and interesting.
