Spring, a Season of Wish

After reading the fifth poem “Spring Song”, I was deeply moved by the line that says, “Breathe my soft wishes through yon blooming vale”. In this line of the poem, the narrator is enjoying the passing of winter and the coming of spring, a season full of hope. At a moment, he feels a zephyr flowing by, and in the soft breeze he seems to smell the fragrance, which arouses a kind of strong wish in the heart of the narrator. Feeling happy and pleasant, he hopes that the zephyr can feel his wish and take it away, sending his admiration to Lelia, his dear lovely maid.

We usually consider spring, the first season and the starting point of a new year, to be a season full of hope. When spring comes, the ice and snow melt away, the trees are greening and flowers begin to bloom, and the weather also turns to become warmer and warmer. Since most living creatures come back to life again after winter in spring, we call spring the season of life. Where there is life, there is hope, and this is why people always feel the power of hope in spring. In the poem “Spring Song”, the narrator also feel delight to feel the wind of spring, and make a beautiful wish, hoping the spring breeze can feel the same feeling with him.

This is profoundly true in my daily life, since I always feel such kind of feeling in spring. Each year when spring comes, our school will always organize spring outings, which is one of the most exciting and expecting activities throughout the year. This is not only because that in spring, the scenery is the best with a variety of flowers and green plants, but the more important reason is that in spring, there is always a sense of vitality. Hope, I believe, is deeply rooted in life, in vitality. The teacher asks as to sit beside the river, with our eyes closed, to feel the gentle breeze blowing from afar. At that moment, we all make a wish quietly in our hearts, and hope that the wind can bring our wish away. When we breathe, the air seems to contain the smell of the flowers, the tender grass, the smell of spring and hope. In our spring outings, children usually happily play games in nature, laughing and jumping. For every person, no matter whether he is playing with them or just a passer-by who by accident see them, this will be a vivid picture of spring and of hope. Children are the hope of the future, and spring is the hope of the year, this why people always compare young children to the season spring. In spring, we always feel full of energy throughout our whole body, and that is the amazing power of this season.

What is more, there is another activity in spring that is very close to my life, the spring sports meeting. Nowadays, spring sports meetings are becoming more and more popular in schools, even factories, companies and many other organizations. As we all know, playing sports is an effective way of taking exercise and keeping our body fit and strong. Spring, being neither too cold nor too hot, doubtlessly is the most perfect time to do sports in the year. However, this is only the physical benefit, the reason of the popularity of spring sports meeting is far more than that. In spring, with the weather getting warmer, people prefer to go outdoors after a long cold winter and play some sports to cheer them up. In the participation of the spring sports meeting, people get power and energy from nature. In that way, there is a kind of mental effect caused by spring sports meeting, which in my point of view is the most important significance of such activity. It is a common wish for people that things will become better and better in the following year. Spring sports meeting provides an excellent opportunity for people to contact with their friends again and delight their mood to get ready for the whole year. In school, teachers encourage students to go outdoors to communicate with nature and relax their bodies and spirit. In companies, the managers encourage their workers to participate in spring sports meetings to change a kind of mood and restart their work more energetically. When people stay near spring, the spread of wish will be felt among all of them.

Spring is a season of wish. When I was reading this poem, this line, I just cannot think of the Chinese Spring Festival, the most important festival in our country. On that day, all family members get together with great happiness and warmth, making the best wishes to their beloved families and friends. Usually, the older generations will give their expectations and best wishes to the younger generations. In many cities of China, people go to visit their relatives and friends to give their best wishes; some young people also send short massages and exchange greetings on the Internet. People choose this time because Chinese people believe that spring is the best season throughout the year, and spring itself is a season of wish and hope. In the hearts of Chinese people, spring is a propitious season. In spring, people plant seeds in the earth, wishing for a good harvest of this year.

  When reading the poem “Spring Song”, there is a kind of feeling in my heart becoming stronger and stronger. In addition, since spring is relevant to life in a variety of respects, many things in my life appear in my mind at the same time. Spring, indeed, is a beautiful season of power and wish. Even though there may be some disappointment, wish will always be there and can never be deprived away, so there is nothing to be afraid of. Just make a wish in spring and tell it to the wind, we will feel amazing power growing in our hearts, encouraging us to go further and further in the future.
