下面为大家整理一篇优秀的assignment代写范文- The traffic safety problem of studying abroad in America,供大家参考学习,这篇论文讨论了美国留学生的交通安全问题。

Studying abroad is a hot topic concerned by parents in recent years, and it is getting younger and younger. But opinions vary on which education is better or worse. We specially invite professor feng yu, who has lived and worked in the United States for many years, to write a series of articles to tell you the real education in the United States. On the one hand, it is helpful to reflect on education in China; on the other hand, it can provide more information to help parents make choices suitable for their children.

Many parents worry that their children will encounter vicious crimes in the United States. In fact, the biggest culprit of disability and even death of Chinese overseas students in the United States is traffic accidents.

Except for a few metropolises, public transportation in many American cities is underdeveloped, and self-driving car is the most important way to travel. When I first came to the United States, there was a big supermarket opposite my apartment. It was only a short distance away, but there was no direct way to go to the supermarket. I had wanted to cross the highway, but I gave it up completely when I saw the fox and deer killed.

Therefore, it is reasonable for many overseas students to buy cars when they come to the United States. But there is a danger. According to statistics and studies in many parts of the United States, young people aged 18 to 25 have the highest proportion of traffic accidents. News of serious traffic accidents caused by Chinese students driving is even more common in the United States. Even if there are no serious traffic accidents, they will still be severely punished for violating the rules, and the student status will be cancelled if the situation is serious. So, what are the reasons for frequent traffic accidents in the United States?

Young people like to drive fast cars, especially some Chinese students studying abroad. Not long ago, a Chinese student was arrested by police for running 80 miles per hour down a 30-mile-per-hour street in Boston. Several Chinese students were driving at more than 100 miles per hour on the highway when they lost control and plunged into the grass. Fortunately, several people suffered minor injuries, but one of them was so stung that he vowed never to drive again in his life. It is worth noting that several young people driving together are more likely to have traffic accidents. Because young people have the mentality of showing off, in order to prove their skills, they often go to great lengths to drive fast cars. In some states or regions of the United States, it is reasonable to exceed 10 percent speed limit. American police also do not follow the normal rules to catch speeding, for example, the car in front of you is driving very fast, and then accelerates to follow it, but the police may catch you.

Every graduation season, the incidence of malignant traffic accidents in the United States is very high. Because of graduation parties and classmates' parties, many students will drink too much or even take stimulant drugs and then drive crazily. So, we often see in the American news, a high school student who was admitted to a famous school was driving home after graduation party and was killed in a serious car accident.

Young people are no worse at driving than middle-aged people, but they have a fatal flaw -- making phone calls and even sending messages while driving, which is linked to more than 70 percent of traffic accidents, according to a study by us authorities. States in the United States have different requirements on the use of mobile phones while driving. For example, Massachusetts can make phone calls but cannot send text messages, while other states prohibit the use of mobile phones while driving. A friend of mine who drove from Massachusetts to California was fined for using his cell phone to navigate.

Some international students get their driver's licenses in China and bring Chinese driving habits to the United States. But some of these habits don't work in the U.S. at all, such as turning left and going straight with strict courtesy. I once witnessed a Chinese student who failed to make concessions at a roundabout, resulting in a serious traffic accident. In some areas, red lights are allowed to turn right without special signs, while in others they are fined.

The danger of driving after snow is self-evident, but some young people like to seek stimulation, deliberately driving to go for a ride in the snow. Generally, schools in the United States are closed if more than four inches of snow falls on the ground. Of course, for those areas prone to heavy snow, it is best to buy a four-wheel drive car.

In addition to the above dangers, driving in the United States requires attention to the following three issues.

When a police car with flashing lights and sirens appears, all cars must stop and make way. If you are followed by a flashing police car, you must stop to the right for questioning. At this point you must sit in the car, roll down the window, waiting for inspection. If you get out of the car quickly, you will be mistaken for resisting inspection or escaping. In serious cases, the police will shoot you.

No matter who is responsible, do not run away from the scene of a traffic accident because you are afraid of trouble. If you are caught, it will be a serious crime. In addition, when serious traffic accidents occur, you must hire a lawyer. A Chinese student went to a supermarket to buy vegetables and backed his car into a man in his 40s. The man did not seem hurt at all. He thought the case was very simple, so he did not hire a lawyer. In the end, he paid the other party a large sum of money at one time.

Many Chinese students who can afford a luxury car are unwilling to take out insurance, while in the United States, they cannot drive without insurance, so they go to buy insurance with poor reputation. When serious traffic accident happens, the insurance with bad credit is helpless. Other students falsify their driving histories to save money on insurance premiums. As a result, they may be expelled from school or even go to jail for suspected crimes in traffic accidents.
