Introduction I think , the events on the life of someone make some impact on the life of every person, but one’s make more influence than others. Experience that had a positive Impact on my life. This is my story. On my personal case, one of this events change the point of view and the life of one, that was on February 1991 on Saudi Arabia on king Khalid Military City, I working on the Saudi military hospital. I was 29 years old, a young athletic fit, Puertorrican guy with so many goals on my life. I worked on the emergency room like a emergency nurse and the senior sergeant on this shift, I was in charge of the 10 American soldiers and 5 Saudi national guard Hospital corpsman’s, one of my duty’s was to check and inspected 35th military ambulance’s on our parking lot, closer to and behind of the helicopter path. That day looked like another day, was calm and relaxed no rush on this morning, the temperature was on 99.5F. It was like other day. But before let me say something about the place and the hospital, The King Khalid Military City was used to house thousands of American and other coalition soldiers during Operation Desert Storm. Many countries representing the coalition during the Persian Gulf War more than 125,000. The Troops from two countries (Czechoslovakia and France) reported chemical agent detections during Operation DESERT STORM. The detections were confined to within an approximately 35 mile radius near Hafir al Batin and King Khalid Military City, and all the detections occurred within the first week of the air war campaign of Operation DESERT STORM. The Czechoslovakia detections made on January 1991 are credible to us and the personnel who work on the ground. At 10am, of the 20 of January 1991, just before to make my routine inspection of the vehicles, I saw a flash on the sky, seconds later I saw, like a big ball of fire who approaching to me, I closed my eyes and go down on my knee’s down and I filled like a heat wave to cover my entry body, when I open my eyes seconds afterward, I check myself on order to looked, if I had some injuries or if I pass, probably I’m a dead man, but I still intact and on one single piece. After check myself I running to the building, but before I sealed the main entrance with tape, thus prevent the interchange of air from the outside to the inside why, because if the missile had some chemical substance or gas, that action prevent the enter of possible gas or volatile substance into the emergency room and the result was a total chaos for the troops. Five Days after of the rocket incident a group of refugees came to our hospital, one was a female Iraqi woman , she came with her husband and two child’s , they had some injuries on the left side of the body and face, we treated the all family outside of the emergency room on the tents for civilians, the pediatrician take care of the child’s, those received, new clear civilian clothing and the first decent meal on days, but the father still for hours Lay down on a field bed waiting a room on the men’s surgical ward on the hospital. I waiting for the order to moved the patient to the hospital, but the order not show up, I saw the agony on the face of Iraqi wife , probably she do not understand us, but in her eyes , she say” help us”, she as for help. I make my decision and order to move up the patient to the medical male ward. Later, I noted the real reason for the delay, it was because the family on special man and wife are Iraqis Shiites , this kind of group never ever are accepted to enter or life closed to the Sunnis. The Sunnis are one of the most conservative groups on the Islam in Saudi Arabia and reject the rest of the muslins, they are “the cream of the cream” but for my was nothing, the human element was first at all. My conclusion was simple, my concept of the human nature was more completed after the day, so I think” I am better human” now and for the rest of my life. On difficult time we need to show our compassion and merciful, because at all we are sons of the same GOD.
