Experiencing Creativity Kristina James University of Phoenix Experiencing Creativity Creativity is not one of my strongest traits in life. The only time I believe my creativity occurs is when I am planning an event or entertaining children. Other than that I would consider myself very plain. This is not by choice either; I would desperately like to be creative with stuff like cake designing, sowing, entire designing and even fashion. Creativity like those is amazing and makes me think how neat it would be to have a talent like that. Although I am not able to show off my creativity on everyday encounters when it comes to entertainment it is my time to shine. My passion always has been event planning. It started from when I was young, anytime that my mother had chance to celebrate an occasion she would through a get together or a fool blown out party. From birthdays, holidays, and sports parties I swear my family was celebrating something every month. Her parties were always a hit she would cook appetizers, have party games, and music for the guest to dance. She through tremendous parties, but she would hardly put decorations up. My creativity would step in here. Themes is my thing, I believe that every party should have a theme. Holidays are easy because the theme is already given. Parties like birthdays, super bowl, graduation, or anything in that nature is when I am able to have fun and go all out. I choice a theme for the party and use it in every aspect of the party; the food, decorations, dress code, games, and even the music will be according to what the theme is. In the event of planning a party, I become quit the perfections and tend to get stressed at times. In the end the stress goes away and everything pays off. I always receive many compliments from the guest. I have created a reputation for being the best party planner among my friends and family. They give me the honor of either throwing their parties or helping in some way. It is definitely a career that I would love to pursue but cannot at this time of my life. Even though it is my passion it is a very time consuming and demanding job. I have a family who demands all my time and I would much rather give it to them than a career. So I have decided to go a different route and become an elementary schoolteacher and be creative with the children. Entertaining and teaching children is also something that I am creative with and believe it is my calling. This is also something I picked up from my mother, she two is a teacher. My whole life my mother always came up with the coolest ways to teach us new things. She would get very creative at times. With all the creativity she had shown me it seems to come natural to me to teach children and have fun with it. Being creative with younger children is almost easy. Everything and anything will amuses and catch a child’s attention. So in the mince of creating different ways to teach children I like to have fun with it. Keeping them active is one of my biggest things I like to incorrupt into my teachings. Some examples are scavenger hunts, singing, and dancing. These activities are probably some of the best ways to teach young children. I would not consider myself an expert at event planning or teaching children, but I definitely have an act for both of them. One day I will be the expert. Even though I am not an expert right now it does not take a genius to be creative with event planning and teaching children. These two things are my creative talents, but it would be wonderful to be talented and creative in other aspects. I envy people who are able to cake design, sow, do entire design and have a sense of fashion. At this point in my life I am content with the creativity that I do have because I get to incorrupt them with my own family and friends. In the future I hope that my creativity will expand and I learn how to do the talents I mentioned above. References
