College Alcoholism There are many different topics that can be chosen to research. I think if I had to choose a social issue, I would choose alcoholics who are college students. This is a very big social issue even though we don’t realize it right away. The methods would be very useful to help me find a conclusion. First I would have to state a hypothesis. A hypothesis is an educated guess of what you think the result of your experiment would be. My hypothesis would be that many college students do drink heavily. A lot of the students drink because of social status, because everyone else is doing it. I would also guess that a lot of students drink because alcoholism runs in their family.
