Beer Or Books' Beer or Books' You see them everywhere, ads for alcohol, cigarettes, even underwear. All are forms of visual argument. You look at these advertisements every day, and probably don’t think twice about them, but without realizing it, you are thinking more about them than you know. For my visual argument, I analyzed two different Miller Lite beer ads. The first ad had the title “It’s like a Book club. Only with Beer instead of Books.” There is a woman in the corner with a caption coming out of her mouth stating “I love this Beer!” Below that, there is a circle of people resembling students, and all are male, sitting around a campfire. They are all relaxed and stretched out. The fire in the center of the circle has the Miller Lite emblem in the middle of it. In the lower left hand corner, there are two pictures, one of a long highway, and one of the arm of a chair with a cup holder stating, “reload.” I believe that this ad is appealing to mostly the college male audience. Of course beer is more appealing to males lite, miller, going, beer, woman, man, bottle, drinking, sex, corner, appealing, ad, very, stating, people, impression, time, society, men, drink, advertisement, today, think, symbol, started, social, relaxed, phallic, one, mostly, males, male, lower, hand, guy
