The target

This course will provide the foundation of applied financial modeling. It is designed to show how quantitative techniques can be used to analyze financial information and aid decision making. Under the heading of each lecture is a description of the tools and techniques, along with the required readings.

All course members are required to read the assigned readings prior to class and to complete tasks in any practical sessions.

An assessment of a company's creditworthiness is important to the institution that lends money to it. This report focuses on credit evaluation. Based on the findings of previous studies, many factors may determine the ultimate probability of default. Therefore, to solve this problem, it is necessary to analyze the dominant variables. The problem I'm going to solve is going to be using firm variables to evaluate creditworthiness. It will consist mainly of various data analyses. Through the interpretation of the results, we can find out the factors that have significant influence on the probability of default, so as to solve the problem of credit evaluation.

In this report, I conducted a short study using some company variables to assess the creditworthiness of the company. Through the analysis of these variables, find out the internal relationship between different independent variables and their impact on enterprise credit value. This report will include descriptive data analysis and multivariate analysis. For each analysis, detailed discussions and comments will be given to explain the meaning of the model and the results from this analysis. At the end of this report, I will give my suggestions and comments on my analysis.

The research methods

This study mainly adopts quantitative data analysis method. First, a descriptive data analysis was performed for each variable, with a comprehensive review of the collected data. More importantly, in order to assess a firm's creditworthiness, a bivariate multivariate analysis will be discussed in detail. In order to find out the influence of each factor, the estimation regression model can give an in-depth understanding of the influence of explanatory variable on dependent variable. All analysis will be done using Excel, SPSS or Eviews.
