下面51due教员组为大家整理一篇优秀的代写范文-Bringing out The Dark Side of Society in Different Ways: Spring Scene, The Faults of Qin and Peach-Blossom Spring,供大家参考学习。

Bringing out The Dark Side of Society in Different Ways: Spring Scene, The Faults of Qin and Peach-Blossom Springs

The three essays of the Faults of Qin, Peach-Blossom Springs and Spring Scene leave marks in the history of Chinese literature. They go down in history in diverse styles and forms but all carry grievous significance for the writers harboured great complaints about politics and social conditions then. Arguably, these three essays come as forcible tools through which the writers bring out their deep-seated indignant opinions on social realities. This essay is to give a brief analysis on the works and make comparisons.

Tu Fu, a monumental poet in Tang dynasty, wrote the work of Spring Scene as a conveyor of his cynicism. This poem centers around the word of “scene”, and gives a full, vivid depiction about spring. By describing a grievous picture, Tu Fu injected his sadness and sorrow into his words. He wrote down a direct description of what the Tang society was like after the rebellion. To that end, the words of “ruins”, “thick” and “tears” stand as the mark of strong feelings toward the instabilities and military conflicts in the country. As we all know, no other season in one year can be more vibrant than spring. This poem, however, gives a full expression of regretful picture of Tang’ s landscape. As such, the word of “spring” functions as a contrast to the dreadful scene.

In the poem of Spring Scene, the depiction of scene serves as a foil for Tu Fu’ s lament over homeless people and cruel wars and bile for the rebellion. He is a patriotic poet who cherishes every acre of Tang’ s land, and political instability and confrontation is prone to put him in a bad mood so that his white hair is turning thinner and thinner.

Peach-Blossom Springs, written by Tao Yuanming, an unrecognised talent who held frustration toward his political career, is an exceptional essay that has been long appreciated by Chinese generations. Through creating such famous masterpiece, Tao Yuanming builds a utopia where there exists a mysterious community without wars, schemes, inequalities and conflicts. The village recorded in his work is an epitome of his ideal country with clear and clean atmosphere and no invidious schemes. It seems that he blended his desire into Peach-Blossom county for a clean government and pure social environment for the reason that he was given a cold shoulder in real life.

Tao Yuanming is a frustrated politician who came up against career ordeals. As a man of integrity and dignity, he met with corrupted officials of the Jin Court and disdained their sordid practice. Consequently, he opted to resign and moved away from political circle, and then enjoyed solitude in isolation from the dark society. As such, it is tempting to argue that his imagination about this immortal island can be associated with his pity toward his political career and clarion call for a better governor.

The Faults of Qin, written by Jia Yi, a talented poet and critic in the Han dynasty, centers on the monarchy of Qin dynasty. It mirrors how the Qin Court evolved from a forcible government into a dead-end stalemate that was as a result overthrown by exploited people. He made a strong case for such tragedy and blew the lid on it by explaining the dangerous causes in detail. What he was genuinely inclined to bring out is his indignation against political and social evils that were tucked away in the apparently dynamic Han dynasty. This work serves as a reminder for Han governors.

These three works share the largest commonality that the writers held sensitive views toward society most of which were sore and sorrow. They had strong cynicism and criticism toward the real environment where atrocity, conflicts and corruption pervaded. Therefore, they put such indignation into writings through which they articulated patriotic anxiety. Even with a wealth of love to their countries, the three historic writers simultaneously had great dissatisfaction to social conditions. As the dark side of society was captured by their eyes, they recorded such darkness with beautiful but cynical words.

Nevertheless, it is worth mentioning that the ways they present views are differentiated. Tu Fu gives a vivid expression about desolate landscape awash with wars, blood and cruelty. He has a direct writing method without connotations. In contrast to it, both the Faults of Qin and Peach-Blossom Springs involve metaphors that carry special significance to allude to social flaws. Even so, the three works manage to flesh up their similar ideas about society and people through unlocking deep-seated patriotic emotions.

These three momentous masterpieces stand as carriers of writers’ responsibility and patriotism even in different forms. These works tell stories about the dim periods of social instabilities in the history of China. Apart from that, the works also reflect how literati were concerned about national conditions and how high-caliber politicians were in ancient China.
